Fortune Favors the Cruel by Lucinda Dark, Kel Carpenter

4.0

Fortune Favors the Cruel was such a fun book. Starting with the world building all the way to the characters themselves. After meeting Quinn and Lazarus, I just knew that I was going to end up liking them. Even with all the mysterious behaviors, these two had great chemistry and tension floating around them.

It was seriously so easy to ship them. Plus, it helped that all the other characters took notice too. On top of that, the dark vibes and flashbacks kept me intrigued and entertained. I couldn't put the book down at all. I just needed to find all the clues and answers before the cliffhanger greeted me.

In the end, I'm sucked and got hooked. I want to jump into the next book but don't want to buy it. So, if I find it for free from the library I totally will. If not, then maybe one day I'll jump into the sequel.
