The edition I have says it's for children ages 8-14. But to be honest, it's quite dark for a children's book. Most of the adults in this book are toxic and abusive towards the main character, who is a little girl. So I wouldn't actually recommend this for children.
The thing I found interesting in this book is the way it portrays the voices we choose to internalize and which are there with us throughout our lives. It's quite eye-opening.
