Did not finish book. Stopped at 61%.
I didn’t like Jay. And I know that you’re not gonna like every character -but he seemed like he hadn’t unlearned some male programming. Love me a flawed character but he had a whole im a nice guy but wasn’t really totally empathetic or understanding of Liya. She deserves better. I’m gonna read another book by the author-it’s not the style of writing it’s just the characterization. Idk I’m always sensitive to the way men are written opposite of women who have gone through assault at the hands of other men and something Wasn’t clicking. Hopefully the other books are better.
