In this world, magical beings (supernaturals) from myths and legends exist alongside humans (simplynaturals). Unfortunately, the simply naturals have deemed the supernaturals a danger to society, and they've been left with two choices: assimilate through a program and Sinclair reform school or prison.
Our fmc Stella is a journalist, and a Valkyrie who is convinced that something shady is going on right under everyone's nose, and she makes it her mission to get to the bottom of this with the hopes of ultimately exposing the founder of the school and improving the living situation of supernaturals. As such, she decides to go undercover and enrol.

What I liked about this story first and foremost is that it doesn't glorify the existence of the reform school where this story takes place.
The slowburn polyamorous romance plot is cute. The guys all have distinct personality traits, without feeling like the author was just checking of "types". They all have separate relationships that Stella develops at their own individual pace.
The story proceeds at a pleasant pace as we follow Stella along as she becomes acquainted with her fellow students while she secretly conducts her research. As this is the first of a trilogy, it's obvious that we're being shown several pieces of the puzzle. I've no idea how this is all going to fit, but it sure made me curious!
