Did not finish book. Stopped at 42%.

 I have been trying to read this for almost 4 months.  I have been dragging myself through it. I just could not get into it which is a shame because I loved the first one. Maybe this will be my problem with fantasy series... that I enjoy the initial intro into the world but then don't really want to spend a bunch of time there?
