Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
2.0
I hate this book and the author. I learned about what the author and her family had done after I had started reading this book and I wish I had known beforehand so I would never have picked this book up that being said I did buy this book second hand so at least the author didn't get any of my money. If you don't know what I'm talking about please look it up. This book just felt like a way for the author to excuse what she had done in the past. Also, can we talk about the fact that the main character of this book Kya is fourteen and her love interest in this book is eighteen years old? To make it worse, Kya has spent most of her life by herself and separated from other people and because of that, she seems to have the mentality of a twelve-year-old... it's just so gross. This book was also boring and at times felt like I was reading a textbook, like the amount of time the author spent explaining different animals and grass was so annoying.
