I'm not going to lie, I wasn't familiar with the fairy tale 'The Snow Queen'. About halfway through the book, I finally looked it up on Wikipedia. I agree with the author, Hans Christian Andersen was a weird dude. Anyway, I quite enjoyed what they shared, and where they diverged. I seem to have a corvid theme happening in my books as of late, I'll see if it continues with my next. Not much to fault with this story. It's one of the better retold fairy tales out there. T Kingfisher knows how to spin a good yarn.
