Great book! It moved really quickly and had me hooked right away. I found the middle slower, but it picked up again and didn’t stop until the last page! I can see why this is rated so highly. Claire and Eva were very interesting, very different characters. Both were very strong, determined women, I admired how the author really included such empowerment in the story. In a sense I wanted to feel like I knew them better, but at the end I realized I knew all I needed to know about them to make the story work. This story felt so short to me, it happened so fast and even though it took place in both the past and present I still wanted a bit more backstory! Eva was definitely harder to read, love that we share a name! I liked her but was frustrated with her, the balance of that was an interesting experience and I often find it hard to read a character that I don’t vibe with, but it worked. I could not figure out the end, there were so many twists and turns that I appreciated. They made sense and they made the story even more captivating! This was an edge of my seat read! Highly recommend this one.
