Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

There's a certain...audacity in thinking that such a powerful, almost divine romance could cultivate in the setting of an American highschool.

The most compelling part remains Carlisle's backstory, even though it's told so briefly that it could be jotted on the back of a napkin. Meanwhile, you could compile all the parts that talk about the rain and weather, and it would remain a novel length.

I offer one star because it takes place in my homestate (WA.)
