You definitely should go into this book blind, it’ll give the best reading experience so don’t read this review if you plan on reading this book.
(And seriously do NOT read the spoiler part at the bottom if you haven’t read this book yet, because it’s a spoiler for the plot twist) 

With that being said:

Well that was disappointing. I am so so so bummed out because of this book. I thought it was so amazing and unique, the plot was so intriguing. I had the best time reading this…. And then that plot twist happened. Literally ruined the whole book. It left SO many plot holes and kind of made the rest of this book not worth it and it didn’t really make sense to me anymore? 

I really really wanted to read the rest of this series but right now I’m feeling very hesitant because I’m scared they’ll be as bad as the last 30% of this one 

This would’ve been 4 stars, maybe more, if the plot twist had been something different, so because of that I can only give it 3 and those 3 are only for the first 70% of this book

Why would you set up a relationship for 300 pages out of 450 only for it to be completely hallucinated? Kemper‘s „real“ character felt so fucking flat and stupid in my opinion. This would’ve been so much better if their prison relationship had been real and the plot twist had been just Dash‘s escape and his blacking out and all that stuff. Also how and why do we get the pov of a character that turns out doesn’t exist?
