kitdunsmore 's review for:
Don Quixote
by Miguel de Cervantes
I've finally made my way through this behemoth. I wish I could say it was well worth the effort, but mostly I find myself confused. I do not understand why this book is a classic. More importantly, I'm not sure what the author was trying to do. Of course, it is a parody/satire written 400 years ago, so I don't expect to understand everything. But the parts of the story I found most interesting were the stories within the story, which had nothing to do with DQ or Sancho Panza. I guess I better go back and read the introduction...
