Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling

5.0

"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that."

I listened to the audio and read along on the stunning MinaLima edition of this book and I was completely enamored. This was a fantastic way to ring in the new year. This was only my third time reading this and my goal this year is to read through Harry Potter (I've only read up to book 3) and to watch the movies.

This book made me smile, laugh, and at times, cry. One of the most touching moments for me was
near the end of the book when Hagrid gave Harry the photos of his parents and they were waving in them. The line that got me was "Harry couldn't speak, but Hagrid understood."
. GOODBYE TO MY HEART AND HELLO TO THE TEARS.

I cannot wait to finish out this series and finally be able to understand the magic.
