I waited a long time for this book and was left a bit wanting. This book seemed like it was part of a larger story, but I don't necessarily feel like it need to stand on its own this way. Maybe it could have been more ambitious? Not sure, but I'm left feeling let-down a bit.
I will say the characters were great. Super excited that the protagonists were POC and the cover model is absolutely gorgeous. Snowfall and Simus were great characters, as were the others. I didn't get the same feeling for them as I did for Lara and Keir, but their personalities were completely different. Definitely want to learn more about Snowfall (she's pretty bad ass).
Waiting for the next stories in these chronicles.... just really hope this author has an end in sight (and a clear way of getting there).
