excellent. read because of the show that I quite liked back in 2016 (?), but this is much better told and actually has an ending. I did, however, find myself imagining Lashana Lynch as Rosaline despite the description, because she's just so excellent in the role. I sped through it all in one day, short and to the point, eliminating the fatigue of a lot of other YA stories. To add to that, as a person who rarely has time for fiction nowadays (even though she loves it so much!), I've grown up in terms of taste, and the melodramatic romances I once used to love no longer appeal - or at least make me cringe. This, I'm thankful to say, had none of that - the romance that dominates the book is lovely, subtle, and most of all believable - I had a huge grin on my face at the end, and that is always a good sign. Might have to start a club just to talk about this book, because I'm pretty sure everyone has been and forgotten about this book and the show it spawned...
