I'm sorry to say, but this is so boring! The first 115 pages are just backstory discussing John Ridd's childhood. I was expecting this to jump into the main plot of romance, revenge and/or war and be . . . exciting, but I'm struggling maintaining my attention and have had to force myself to read bits here and there. DNF'ing.
