The only time I’ll accept two lesbians being surrounded by dicks.

Character Impressions:

Cade Elgin
Cade’s that hot lesbian who’s so serious all the time that you kind of want to ruffle her perfect hair just to see what she does. She’s the reasonable one out of the pair, while Selena plays off her character as the emotional one.

Her strained relationship with her alpaca-loving parents is hilarious, but made me kind of sad at times, because through how they treat her, you can see why she thinks people only want to use her for their own benefit, not because they actually care. Of course, that's where Selena comes in.

Selena Mathis
I found Selena’s naivety to be pretty endearing. She’s so open about her sex life and talks about sex like it’s everyday conversation that it throws Cade off her stride at times. Despite disagreeing with Cade on almost everything about how to run a sex shop, she’s not afraid to admit when she’s wrong.

Story Impressions:

There’s a moment towards the end where I was screaming for both women to just open their mouths and speak words, but it makes sense why they didn’t. But my god, was the yearning so gut wrenching and worth the moment when they finally sucked it up and admitted their feelings for each other.

Highlights:

  • Highlight 1: Opposites attract.
  • Highlight 2: My kind of humor.
  • Highlight 3: Explicit sex scenes that were hot and even educational.
  • Highlight 4: You would think a story about two women who have to run a sex shop would be filled with a ton of sex, but it’s only there when it needs to be (and when the occasion calls for it). And funnily enough, the sexiest moments were when the two women are just talking with each other. Selena’s openness about sex and Cade’s reservations about her sex life make for some pretty funny banter.
  • Highlight 5: This book made me realize that I’d forgotten how much I miss good ole grand gestures of love.
  • Highlight 6: Maybe I’m bias because I studied art, but I absolutely loved every description of paintings in this story.
  • Highlight 7: Two leads are together or thinking of each other for about 90% of the story.
