The Ballad of Never After by Stephanie Garber

Guys. Guys guys guys guys guys. This book was so good that I literally couldn’t wait the time it would’ve taken to write a review to read the next one.

This series is everything I’ve ever wanted. It’s everything I’ve been waiting for. The main character is unique but not in a “ohhh I’m quirky I’m not like other girls” kind of way. And the main male character isn’t a 7 foot tall shadow lord who GrOwLs and has wINgS. And thank GOD for that. Another reviewer wrote: “Where do I find men like this, my local prison?” And I agree. Where DO I find men like this? He is perfect.

Literally my only complaint would be that Evangeline is 17 in this series. Hear me out. I don’t have anything against 17 year olds, but I feel like we shouldn’t be writing books about minors with some of the content in these books. By far not the worst thing I’ve ever read, but I do feel that with all of the talking about wedding nights and heirs and biting and touching and such, we maybe should’ve aged her up a year or so. Don’t hate me pls.

Anyway. Going to cry my eyes out. :)
