Such a fantastically executed concept! I love to read stories that take place in our world but aren’t really. The idea of consuming books as actual nutrition to live is fascinating for sure! But then throw in familial and cultural politics and WOW! I’m so impressed! Definitely a good read! Plus the writing is so well done in prose and tone that feels much more classical than ALOT of modern authors while still being unique on its own. The audio narrator was a perfect selection for this narrative.
