P.S. Ik hou van je
by Cecelia Ahern
Let's start by saying that 'P.s. I love you' is by far my most favorite movie, I could watch it twice in a row without being ashamed to say so. Of course I was pretty excited to read the book and once I found it, I had to add it to my collection.
But in all honesty, I was a bit disappointed. First off the differences with the movie were huge, suddenly Holly was blonde and had two brothers and a dad that was still around... And what a huge disappointed when it turns out they lived in Ireland all along so the famous trip to his birthplace never happened. Holly meeting William was the part I was looking forward to the most, turns out there's no William.
Maybe if I hadn't seen the movie a thousand times my review would've been a lot different. The story is still good, sometimes a bit long, but I really miss the Gerry from the movie. The letters seemed way to short as well, always just a few lines. I don't know, I'm biased. Didn't even cry...
