Status and Culture: How Our Desire for Social Rank Creates Taste, Identity, Art, Fashion, and Constant Change by W. David Marx

challenging informative reflective slow-paced

The writing is easy to absorb. I had to struggle with keeping the main concepts in mind. I was able to understand the individual parts of what he was saying but faced difficulty in understanding those parts with the whole. Personally I face this issue with other academic books as well. It is very interesting and gives you something to think about. It has a variety of anecdotes that made the reading the book a lot of fun.
