My reaction after finishing the story:

The idea of showing Lia's life after the events of the last book was interesting but everything else left me completely baffled.
First of all, I can't understand the enormous cliffhanger. I didn't fully agree with how things ended in Circle of Fire but we got a conclusion and this novella crashed everything and didn’t make sense. It also meant that the final showdown and Alice’s sacrifice was completely in vain.
As much as I liked the first two short stories, I didn’t like this one at all and it left me angry and wishing I’d never picked it up.
