The Stone Man by Luke Smitherd

3.0

I enjoyed this book. There are some very good elements of science fiction included here: a reluctant hero, characters that rise to the challenge, an exploration of the unknown and the strange. All of these are based in a reality not like the one I think I live in, so it is relatable and fantastic at the same time.

In reflection of the story I would describe this a similar to HG Well War of the Worlds with fewer aliens and more time for the world to react. I enjoyed the blend of the modern celebrity with fiction.
