Death of a Knit Wit by Peggy Ehrhart

2.0

My first in this series, sent to me as part of my Cozy Mystery Monthly Selection.
I felt this was fine to read as a stand alone even having not read the earlier books.

Although the description on the back is correct that Pamela's bestie Bettina helps with the mystery, I thought it was misleading to state the knitting group also helps. The knitting group appears infrequently and really has nothing to do with the plot. I also did not need umpteen references to Bettina's "faithful Toyota" or numerous other descriptions that were repeated at nauseam (Wilfred's apron, getting the computer to turn on, etc).

Over all this was exactly what a cozy should be but it just wasn't for me.
