this book reminds me of weyward and i loved that book so it makes sense i loved this book too.

i really can’t believe this is a debut - the writing was gorgeous. i think that stories that cover multiple generations/span a family’s lifetime really appeal to me so i was hooked from the jump. i loved the way supporting characters carried over between the different timelines and how their roles in the family’s life were different. it’s very much a butterfly effect story - how one choice impacts choices down the line and can shape a person’s entire life.
