1066 and All That: A Memorable History of England Comprising All the Parts You Can Remember, Including 103 Good Things, 5 Bad Kings and 2 Genuine Dates by W.C. Sellar, R.J. Yeatman

5.0

I’ve done/ read enough British History that I was able to get most of the jokes or know where to look up the ones that eluded me. Written in a cod-schoolboy style that after 90 years of this book’s life and nearly 30 years of teaching in mine is still funny, this is history as a misremembered collection of dates and facts rather than anything genuinely useful. Hilarious.
