The Desert Spear

1) Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
2) Genre: Fantasy
3) Synopsis: Who is the deliverer? Will it be Ahmann Jardir the leader of the desert tribe who feels he is called from God to save the human race? Or will it be Arlen the 'Painted Man' who is a lone wolf and thinks there is no way God sent him. With the offensive wards knowledge back in the world demons are starting to die and humans are starting to fight.
4) Feelings: I was worried at first Arlen wasn't going to be in this book. The first third of this book focus on Ahmann Jardir. I am not even sure you could call this book a prequel. There is quite a bit of overlapping from book one and book two. It just comes from another point of view.
5) Final recommendation: If you liked the first book this is a must read. If I had known the first part was mostly Ahmann and Arlen was coming in later it would have been better for me in the beginning. Still the end was great and I need to pick up book 3.
