“It's okay to love your darkness and still love yourself. It doesn't make you a bad person. It makes you a whole one.”

I promised myself I’d wait to read Scythe and Sparrow since it’s the final book in the trilogy, and I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye. But once it was released on February 11, I couldn’t resist — I dove right in. No self-control whatsoever.

While this book felt slightly different from the others, it was still a highly enjoyable (and very dark) read. Even though I’m incredibly squeamish when it comes to anything involving eyes, the content didn’t bother me as much this time around. Does this mean I’ve finally gotten used to the dark romances that flood bookstagram? Definitely not, but I can’t deny how much I enjoy reading them.

Scythe and Sparrow was the perfect escape to distract my mind, and the author was right — you absolutely need to read the epilogue (don’t worry, there were no babies involved).
