So touching and let me understand depression or deep sadness and confusion from a child’s perspective. I also love the fact that her family is close knit and that she has this tiny community that cares for her, despite what she is going through. I also like that her parents are understanding of her trials and do not reprimand her in a toxic way. I also love their journey to that one place and the tidbits of history about said place and traditions of their ancestors and community.

I’ll definitely keep this book in my shelf, even though I’ll most likely will never read it again, but it’s available for whoever will need it the far future.
