Ten Things We Did
by Sarah Mlynowski
I... ok. There was a lot of growing-up stuff, I guess? But mostly this book was preoccupied with sex. As in, I'm pretty sure that there was NO five-page stretch of novel that didn't mention it.
Which isn't surprising, I guess. Because it's a book about unsupervised teenagers living alone. I just didn't realize it would feature so HEAVILY in the plot.
She did a good job of getting into April's head, though. I liked being able to see April mature and grow up a little, although she was really obtuse about her boyfriend for a LONG time.
