Villains, history, artefacts, magic, banter, romance and more. Tomb of the Sun King seamlessly connects everything you would want and need in a historical fantasy. I love the development of Adam and Ellie’s relationship and I do see some side character romance in the future, which I am not mad about! The author writes her stories in a way that make them so easy to read, giving you little history lessons along the way which are very easy to follow regardless of your knowledge. You can’t go wrong with a book that involves treasure hunting. Very much looking forward to reading book 3 when it is released! “Running up to the doors of tyranny to bang on them with your sword is a man’s way of doing battle.” Her eyes glittered. “Women take the hinges off.”
