This was, in my opinion, the weakest book in the series so far. Although I still enjoyed the characters, new and old, this definitely seemed like a filler book. Not a whole lot happened until the very end. It felt like any plot could have happened for 90% of the book as long as that ending was achieved. Which was clever, because that ending is why I really want to read the next book. Well played, Novik.
