The Law of Miracles
by K.C. Wells
I really love stories where both MC’s are more mature, though sadly there aren’t that many out there. December mostly meets and falls in love with May (also great), though as this story shows us magical things can happen when two people who have already loved and lost once decide to reach for the stars again.
I’d been eagerly anticipating this story and held high hopes and expectations … that K.C. Wells easily surpassed! How does she keep doing that?!
Alexander and Joshua become friends first, then closer friends still, and then, after a little nudge here and a little unsolicited help there, from Joshua’s family and Alex’s BFF Manda, they finally give into their feelings and cross another bridge together. Aware and deliberately. They don’t jump in without thinking, and somehow that makes everything even more intense and so achingly sweet. The way they savor every moment they spent together … I was utterly beguiled by this story and completely swept off my feet by the tender and sensual moments between Alex and Joshua.
I also adored Micah, Greg, Naomi, Simon and Manda. They were all equally wonderful and brought a heartwarming sense of family, acceptance and belonging to this absolutely amazing love story.
Loved this. So much.
