frozenrapture 's review for:
Based on a True Story
by Norm Macdonald
This audiobook has it all: long winded jokes that purposely bomb for Norm’s own satisfaction, incredibly insensitive stories delivered with complete innocence, fabricated tales that add to the mythos (gambling addiction, the SNL firing over OJ, etc.), and my personal favorite of Norm intentionally mispronouncing simple words to dumb himself down (every single time he says film he pronounces it as fi-LIM). A true testament to Norm’s legacy and humor. Impossible to not read it in hindsight as Norm paying respect and saying farewell to all his friends on his own terms. RIP to the greatest.
