I picked this book up on a whim just to catch up on my reading goal. I thought I was going to have good time. I did not. It was pretty much a 'meh' experience for me. I did not find anything special in it. I don't have strong feelings about it. In fact, I found it to be boring most of the time. I have seen better executions of the themes that were present in the book like strange bonds/relationships and the harsh realities of dreams.

I did not like George. I think Lennie and Curly's wife deserved better. Although it was a product of its time, I also wish that it was not that racist and misogynist.
