Okay, here we go with my first goodreads review.
I just finished Meet Cute: Some People Are Destined to Meet
I do have to say from the beginning that I originally rated it 3.5 stars, but since I have to choose between 3 and 4, I thought 4 fairer here.

the writing & the story It's not easy to review the writing of a book that contains various authors. Same goes for the stories. There were some stories I really liked but there were also some I was only okay with. I disliked none of the authors writing styles which was a huge plus. I especially enjoyed Katie Cotugno's, Jennifer L. Armentrout's and Jocelyn Davies' anthologies. I do have to admit that anthologies aren't usually my favourite kind of books. The problem for me is that you get thrown into and pulled out of the plot too early for my liking. I always end up wanting more and more out of the characters, the story. I need information about the past, about what led to the point where the narration starts. I am greedy like that. Sorry.

SpoilerWhat I definitely disliked about this though was the insta-love that was going on in most of the stories. I am just not into that. I don't feel like it's an appropriate view on relationships. Sure, sometimes you meet someone and you instantly fall in love with that person. But for me it's just unbelievable what some people in those insta-love stories (not just in this anthology) go through just to get to the one. Someone they just met an hour ago. That's not for me. I know some people like it and maybe I should have expected it from a book about Meet Cutes. BUT I reckon the reason why I liked the stories I previously mentioned so much is the fact that there was a development in the character's relationship and not a one-hour meeting that ends with a kiss. It didn't make the whole book less enjoyable for me though, so that's why I upped the rating to 4 instead of 3 stars.
