I reached for this book during this first few months of my career as a high school art teacher. It brought me a sense of peace knowing that I was dealing with some of the same types of issues that Mr. McCourt dealt with 30 years ago while teaching in the schools in New York City. It was funny to hear of his students pulling the same crap my students were pulling. I really got a kick out of this book and even if you arent a teacher but especially if you like Frank McCourt (Angela's Ashes, 'Tis) you will enjoy this book
