Do you have that one friend who is always loud? Like, she has only one volume and even when she whispers, it's like that BIG stage whisper that an entire theatre audience could hear? And that's just how she lives? She lives loud - loves loud - & just seems so damn sure of herself?

That's Amy Schumer. And that's this book.

Funny, tell-it-like-it-is, so honest you cringe, I have a whole new respect and appreciation for Amy Schumer. She touches on many topics and tells it like she'd tell you over the phone or over some coffee after a night of drinking: abusive boyfriends, her dad's illness, her mom's infidelity, relationships, etc. etc. etc.

An easy read, an entertaining read, and relatable in many ways; I enjoyed it.

It was my choice and I had to learn (I'm still learning) how to choose to be proud of who I am rather than ashamed. Lucky for me, I'm a woman, so I've had the opportunity to practice this over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. (p. 313)
