This was a really good story that kept you gripped almost the entire time and makes you want to leap to the next book in the series. There is a good balance of action with other events so it doesn't feel like it's too violence-centered. The book also does a good job at describing the setting of this foreign place in a different time period, and the depth of research is clear from the descriptions and events. It also seems that it does not deviate greatly from the original source of the story, so it is somewhat vaguely educational.
