This book in one sentence: Pet drags Jinn-Yeong and Zero into all kinds of trouble when Athelas goes missing and she is set on finding him.

My recommendation: This series is weird and disturbing and lovely all at once. However the overarching narrative of the series is also progressing really slowly. Don't expect a whole lot of answers or resolution in this book. I'm not sure how many books the author is planning for the series, but it has to be a lot. The relationships between the characters are very slowly developing, but it's very interesting to see their dynamic evolve. The world building remains bizarre and original.
Content warnings: Torture. Violence. However this book has by far the least amount of gore and bodies in the entire series.
