Emotional Intelligence 2.0 by Travis Bradberry, Jean Greaves

informative medium-paced

3.0

I thought this book gave a lot of useful tips but I didn't like it's heavy focus on the work place. I don't really care about being more emotionally intelligent in the workplace, I care about being more emotionally intelligent overall and that's hard to do when all the examples are about work. Also, in a remote world, it has no application to my daily life. I can't just visibly see that someone isn't okay. I don't know, I wanted more from it I guess. Also, I bought the book and it's dumb that I can only take the test that comes with it during a two week period. The book clearly states that it'll take time to slowly incorporate these habits into your life so speed reading it in two weeks and take the test twice in that time won't really show any improvements outside of being able to answer how you "should" handle a situation but that has no clear indication of how you do actually handle the situation.
