This third book became so thick (1123 pages) that many publishers split it in two volumes.
The first volume (Steel and Snow) continues from where the second book ended.
The (Civil?) War is at its peak.
Violence, magic, and various intertwined plots are increasing.
We slowly approach the end of the year (299 AC) and the beginning of the new year (300 AC) and the new volume.
