I expected to love this based on all the reviews by people I follow that usually have the same or similar taste that I do… but alas, it wasn’t really a great match (even though it has my favorite trope of all time 😩).
I’m not sure if it was the format or the pacing of this one but it was hard to stay invested at a point. We jump around for months and years at a time and are still expected to jump for joy when the MMC and FMC brush hands but honestly I didn’t feel much when they finally connected.
I liked the characters individually but think with this type of narration, we don’t get to know them as well (ya know, without all the internal monologue).
The ending was cute! I enjoyed their weird little banter around getting engaged.
Tropes:
Friends-to-lovers
