Song of Spider-Man: The Inside Story of the Most Controversial Musical in Broadway History by Glen Berger

3.0

Berger writes this account of a convoluted and chaotic moment in Broadway history with a compelling honesty and raw introspection. However, for reasons I can’t quite pinpoint I was never really WOWED and felt like I was slugging through. I think this is a worthwhile read for those with an interest in theatre and at minimum a preliminary knowledge of the subject- everyone else will probably find this pretty confusing to navigate. No regrets reading, but not going to be gushing about it either.
