I quite agree with what Penelope wrote at the end of the book. We readers come down hard on heroines as compared to the heroes. And this is why authors create cute, bubbly, nice heroines that we all find easy to like. And heroes? Well, they can be horrible sexists who treat women like objects and we still drool over them. It's always the female characters that are pointed out for their flaws. That's what I loved most about the book, it was not the typical nice girl & fuckboy story. It had a different meaning to it, a different light shed upon us from various different angles with the major theme being: BE WHO YOU REALLY ARE. BE WHOEVER THE FUCK YOU ARE!
That's right. You're not obliged to answer to anyone about your nature or appearance or even your sexual identity. Hell, boys, wear eyeliners for your gothic look and take the snickers behind you with a grain of salt. The author has highlighted the message of owning up to yourself and it was brilliantly done. Kudos to my favorite author. You did it again!
Also, I loved your lyrics. And I loved the way you mentioned Eminem so much in your book, he's my favorite and now I'm getting the idea he's your favourite too (We can be besties, you know)
Another thing out of a hundred others that I liked was that a girl here was an Eminem fan, not vise versa as it usually is. Misha didn't like Eminem in the beginning of the book. But at very end, you said "our favourite rapper" so that indicated Ryen finally convinced her husband. And I squealed at that. Oh and by the way, did I mention we can be best friends?
