All the Light We Cannot See
by Anthony Doerr
I usually try to avoid WWII stories because they are so prevalent, but this got a lot of buzz and I had a family member who loved it. I enjoyed the characters studies of the main characters, and how they contrasted. The author was not afraid to show Germans who somewhat collaborated but were conflicted and tried to do something redemptive in the end. The author also was not afraid of letting some of the main story arcs end in sadness and tragedy, and some end more positively. Overall very entertaining and I am looking forward to watching the series.
