This was definitely a fast and fun read, but with all the hype around it I found it a little bit forgettable? Don't get me wrong, I was entertained—I enjoyed all the drama on and off the ice, and was appropriately shocked each time a new bombshell dropped. But among all the chaos, I feel like any heart or deeper connection with the characters got kind of lost in the noise.
I also wish some of the mystery added in toward the very end would've been mentioned somewhat earlier so the storyline didn't feel like it came out of nowhere? It was a compelling angle, but it felt a little thrown in unfortunately.
All that said, this is still a wild ride that's totally worth a read if that's what you're looking for. Think "Carrie Soto is Back" with more ice, more romance, and honestly a good deal more drama.
