i'm a sucker for P&P modernization/fanfic. the cultural diversity and feminism/sexism/racism topics worked well for setting it in present day and still feeling tied to the source material. however, there the pacing was sometimes too slow, and since those of us who know P&P already know whats coming i felt it really lagging at times when the author was trying to showhorn certain P&P aspects in. i think it could have been trimmed down terms of its P&P exactness and inserted more of its own unique flare a bit more since the ideas and connection were strong enough. some parts felt way too old-timey, out-of-place, and/or word-for-word from the original and that just kills it.
