Maelyn and a group of lifelong family friends spend Christmas together every year, in a cozy mountain cabin. As a people pleaser who always plays it safe, Mae has kept her growing crush for Andrew, a part of the friend group, hidden since they were young teens. After she drunkenly kisses Andrew’s brother (and is not impressed), she finds herself questioning her place in the world and wondering if she’ll ever find happiness. Imagine her surprise when she wakes up on the plane ride to the cabin, 6 days earlier. Did the universe really give her a do-over?

I went into this blind and didn’t realize it was a time-loop story. I couldn’t get into it at first, but pushed through. It’s a pretty simple romance, nothing groundbreaking or super memorable, but cute and enjoyable nonetheless. It was a little confusing to keep track of who’s who, there were definitely some unnecessary characters in the big  family group. Overall a cute, cozy Christmas read.
