Wow! First off, the improvement over the first. Characters are more complex; struggling with layered goals and confusion. The plot seems much more solid from the start, but this is common for me when reading sequels with large casts. And maybe the audiobook just bothered me more than I thought, but Pool's prose leveled up big time here!
I sometimes struggle with what to say in reviews for sequels because who's reading these anyway? But in this case, if you're on the fence about continuing on after There Will Come a Darkness, do!
