Tyger Tyger

This story was well-rounded and captivating while giving us characters to care about. Teagan is the kind of girl with her head on right and her little brother is absolutely adorable. He gets many of the laugh out loud moments due to his innocence and intelligence equally. At times the telling of the background information became too much and too easy to get lost in. It’s something that always seems to be a problem when hard to pronounce names get thrown in and when authors are writing about people that aren’t actually characters in the story. I understand it’s hard to get all of the needed information into a story in other ways, but these types of moments are what keep me from giving a book 5/5 stars. When a character tells story after story, the current moment is lost if it’s not done just right, and those times when the stories are being told are the times I want to start skipping bits of the book. (I don’t do that of course; afraid I will miss something important or get the wrong feel for the book.) All of the “present” moments in the book were great and the many characters that were presented were wonderful.
